What is proposed?

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR VARIATION OF
A PREMISES LICENCE

Notice is hereby given that YHA (England & Wales) has
applied for a variation of a Premises Licence in respect of
premises known as the Whitby Youth Hostel, Abbey House,
East Cliff, Whitby, North Yorkshire, YO22 4JT. The
variation proposed is as follows:- To amend the licensing
plan to include all internal areas and permit licensable
activities to take place during the current hours stated on
the Premises Licence. To permit all licensable activities
permitted by the licence to take place in the external areas
shown on the revised plan between 10.00 hours and 23.00
hours. To remove existing Annex 2 and Annex 3 conditions
attached to the licence and detailed within the application.
A copy of the Application can be inspected at the offices of
Scarborough Borough Council Licensing Authority,
Scarborough Borough Council Licensing Services, Town
Hall St. Nicholas Street Scarborough YO11 2HG

during normal office
hours.
This application was lodged with Scarborough Borough
Council Licensing Authority on 3rd October 2025 and any
representations must be made in writing to Scarborough
Borough Council Licensing Authority at the above address
no later than 31st October 2025.
It is an offence under Section 158 of the Licensing Act 2003
to make a false statement in or in connection with this
application. Those who make a false statement may be
liable on summary conviction to a fine of any amount.
