What is proposed?
Notice is hereby given that John Orr of Chislet Park, Chislet, Canterbury, Kent CT3 4BY has applied to Canterbury City Council for the VARIATION of a premises licence for the sale of alcohol Monday to Saturday 9AM-5PM and for the ability to open a tap room on Friday and Saturday to 10PM for the premises Chislet Brewery situated at Unit 32 Chislet Business Park, Chislet, Canterbury Kent CT3 4BY.
The variation is to increase the licensable area of the building and area outside of the building. A register of licensing applications can be inspected at https://www.canterbury.gov.uk/licences-and-permissions/search-licensing-register or at Council Offices, 14 Rose Lane, Canterbury, Kent CT1 2UR tel. 01227 862000 by appointment with the Licensing Team between 10am and 2pm Monday to Friday.
Any person wishing to submit representations to my application must give notice in writing to the address shown above, giving in detail the grounds of objection by 05/11/2025.
The Council will not entertain representations where the writer requests that his identity remains anonymous. Copies of all representations will be included in the papers presented to the Licensing Panel and will therefore pass into the public domain.
Representations must relate to one of the four Licensing Objectives: the prevention of crime and disorder, public safety, the prevention of public nuisance and the protection of children from harm. In the case of an application for a provisional statement, please note that representations will be restricted once a statement has been issued.
