What is proposed?
NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A VARIATION OF A PREMISES LICENCE
Notice is hereby given that We, Hickory’s (ROS) Limited have applied to Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council on 29th September 2025 for a variation to a premises licence to use the premises at the: Hickory’s Smokehouse (fka Anson Farm), PerryAvenue, Teesside Industrial Estate, Thornaby, TS17 9LN.
An application has been made to: Vary the licensing layout plan for conversion of existing trade area to a Hickory’s Smokehouse. For full details please refer to the proposed licensing plan.
REMOVE the following condition: Children under the age of 16 shall not be permitted to enter the premises after 21:00 unless dining with an adult or attending a pre-booked function or resident in any adjacent hotel.
REPLACE with: Children under the age of 16 will be required to be supervised by the accompanying adult at all times, unless within the designated children’s zones.
Any part of the variation application that changes the plan/layout at the premises to be of no effect until the work has been completed.
Any person who wishes to make a representation in relation to this application must give notice in writing of their representation by 27th October 2025 stating the grounds for making said representation to: The Licensing Service, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, Dunedin House, Columbia Drive, Thornaby, Stockton-on-Tees, TS17 6BJ or email licensing@stockton.gov.uk Representations received after this date cannot be considered.
The record of this application may be inspected Monday to Friday (except Bank Holidays) at the Licensing Office at the above address between the hours of 9am to 4pm or on the website www.stockton.gov.uk
The Licensing Authority must receive representations by the date given above. The Licensing Authority will have regard to any such representation in considering the application. It is an offence, under section 158 of the LicensingAct 2003, to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in or in connection with an application for premises licence and the maximum fine on summary conviction is unlimited.
