What is proposed?

LICENSING ACT 2003 - NOTICE OF
APPLICATION FOR A PREMISES LICENCE

Premises: Tesco Express, 143 Marsden Lane,
South Shields, Tyne and Wear, NE34 7HN
Notice is given that Tesco Stores Limited has
applied to South Tyneside Licensing Authority for a
Premises Licence under the Licensing Act 2003.

The Licensable activities are: The provision of late-
night refreshment (indoors) on the following days:

Monday-Sunday, 23:00-00:00. The sale by retail of
alcohol for consumption off the premises on the
following days: Monday-Sunday, 06:00-00:00.
Anyone who wishes to make representations
regarding this application must give notice in
writing to: Licensing Section, South Tyneside
Council, Development Services, Level 2, Town Hall
& Civic Offices, Westoe Road, South Shields,
NE33 2RL. Representations must be received no
later than 22/10/2025. The Application Record and
Register may be viewed during normal office hours
at the above address or at

www.southtyneside.info


It is an offence under Section 158 of the Licensing
Act 2003, knowingly or recklessly to make a false
statement in connection with an application and
the maximum fine for which a person is liable on
summary conviction for the offence is up to level 5
on the standard scale(unlimited).
