NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR THE TRANSFER OF A LICENCE IN THE MAGISTRATES’ COURT FOR NORTHERN IRELAND
TAKE NOTICE that O’Neills Bars 2025 Limited having its registered office at 1 Loughadian Brae, Poyntzpass, Newry, Co.Down, BT35 6UF intends at the Magistrate’s Court sitting at Newry on 13 th October 2025 at 10.30am to apply for the transfer of a licence at present held by Brian Canavan of 7 Railway Street, Poyntzpass, Newry, Co Down for the premises known as the Railway Bar 7-9 Railway Street, Poyntzpass, Newry, BT35 6SN being premises of the following kind according to the Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 1996, namely premises specified in Article:-
5 (1) (b) premises in which the only business carried on under the licence is the business of selling intoxicating liquor by retail for consumption either on or off the premises.
A Protection Order authorising Robert and Karen O’Neill of O’Neills Bars 2025 Limited to carry on the business under the licence was granted on 15th April 2025 by the Magistrate sitting at Newry for a period of six months from the date of the Order. No alteration such as specified in Article 31 of the Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 1996 has been made to the premises since the licence was granted.
Robert and Karen O’Neill of O’Neills Bars 2025 Limited are the owners of the business to be carried on under the licence.
The owner of the premises is Brian Canavan.
The licence will be deposited with the Clerk of Petty Sessions before or at the hearing of the application.
