What is proposed?
Notice of application for the grant of a Premises Licence under Section 17 of the Licensing Act 2003
Notice is hereby given that Rough Trade Retail (UK) Limited has applied to Bristol City Council for the grant of a Premises Licence in respect of Premises to be known as Rough Trade, Unit 3-4 New Bridewell, Nelson Street, City Centre, Bristol, BS1 2BA.
The proposed licensable activities and their hours are:
The sale of alcohol (on and off the premises) and Regulated Entertainment (films, live music and recorded music (indoors) 08:00 to 00:00 Monday to Sunday; Late Night Refreshment (indoors and outdoors) 23:00 to 00:00 Monday to Sunday; Opening Hours 08:00 to 00:30 Monday to Sunday. And non-standard timing to extend hours from the end of permitted hours on New Year's Eve to the start of permitted hours on New Year's Day for licensable activities and opening hours. Any representations regarding the above-mentioned application must be received in writing to Licensing Team, PO Box 3300, Bristol, BS1 9LN or via email to licensing@bristol.gov.uk by no later than 16 October 2025 stating the grounds for representation.
The record of the application may also be inspected at Bristol City Council, Licensing Authority 100 Temple Street, Bristol BS1 6AG between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday – Friday, with the exception of Wednesday when the opening hours are 10.00 am and 5.00 pm or on the Council’s website at www.bristol.gov.uk
It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application.
A person is liable to an unlimited fine on conviction should such a false statement be made.
