Notice of Application for the Grant of a Premises Licence
Licensing Act 2003
We, The Warden & Scholars of St Mary College of Winchester hereby give notice that we have applied on 3 September 2025 to Winchester City Council as the Licensing Authority for the Grant of a new premises licence as: Winchester College, 7 College Street, Winchester, SO23 9PE.
The application is for:
1. The sale of alcohol for consumption on and off the premises from 10.30 until 23.30 daily (Alcohol will only ever be served at a pre-booked event);
2. The provision of all regulated entertainment (excepting indoor boxing and wrestling) from 10.30 until 23.30 daily; and
3. The provision of late-night refreshment from 23.00 until 23.30 daily.
Any person who wishes to submit representations in connection with this application should send their representations in writing to: Licensing Manager, Winchester City Council, City Offices, Colebrook Street, Winchester SO23 9LJ, to arrive by 2 October 2025 i.e. within twenty-eight days of the date of this Notice; details of representations received will be forwarded to the applicants to enable them to comment. The representations received and the applicants’ comments will be taken into account in determining the application. Relevant representations will be forwarded to the applicant and may be published on the Council’s website.
