What is proposed?

Licensing Act 2003 Section 34

Notice is hereby given that University of Essex Students Union has applied in respect of the Sub Zero, Wivenhoe Park, CO4 3SQ for a variation to the Premises Licence under the Licensing Act 2003 to allow for: Extend the sale of alcohol to 4am on weekdays Remove Base and Moa from the licence Amend door staff requirements to start from 9pm Amend no-glass policy to start from 9pm.

Representations to this application must be made in writing, by 17/09/2025 to the Licensing Authority, Colchester Borough Council, PO Box 889, Rowan House, 33 Sheepen Road, Colchester, CO3 3WG. The register of licensing applications can be inspected between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday at the offices of Colchester Borough Council, 33 Sheepen Road Colchester or online http://www.colchester.gov.uk/licensingregister.

It is an offence on summary conviction, to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with this application, the maximum fine for which is £5000.
