NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR DECLARATION OF GRANT OF LICENCE AUTHORISING THE SALE OF INTOXICATING LIQUOR BY RETAIL IN A RESTAURANT

TAKE NOTICE that we Harrison Hospitality Limited having its registered offices at 25 Shore Road, Holywood, Northern Ireland, BT18 9HX intend to apply to the County Court sitting in Belfast, Laganside Courts, Oxford Street, Belfast, BT1 3LL for the above Division for the sittings commencing at 10.30am on the forenoon of the 10th of September 2025 for the Grant of a Licence for the premises situated at Unit 4, Curzon Buildings, 306-310 Ormeau Road, Belfast, being such premises as are specified in Article 5(l)(e) of the Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 1996.
AND TAKE NOTICE that this application will be dealt with by the Court on the 10th of September 2025 commencing at 10:30am.
We Harrison Hospitality Limited both of 25 Shore Road, Holywood, Northern Ireland, BT18 9HX are the Directors and owners of such business outlined above.
The owner of the premises is Henry Campbell Johnston and Rotha Geraldine Diane Johnston both of 200 Upper Malone Road, Belfast, BT17 9LZ.
The said premises are held under a Lease dated 24 June 2025 between Henry Campbell Johnston and Rotha Geraldine Diane Johnston both of 200 Upper Malone Road, Belfast, BT17 9LZ of one part and Harrison Hospitality Limited in Northern Ireland under company number NI 710292 having its offices at 25 Shore Road, Holywood, Northern Ireland, BT18 9HX (“the tenant”) of the other part.
A plan of the premises delineating the parts thereof in which intoxicating liquor is to be sold is attached to this notice in accordance with Schedule I to the said Order and Rule 6 of Order 48 of the County Court Rules (Northern Ireland) 1981.
There is in force Planning Permission to use the premises as premises of the kind specified in this notice for the period during which the licence would be in force.
AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE THAT WE INTEND TO APPLY UNDER Article 44 of the said order for additional permitted hours in respect of the part of the premise delineated on the said plan.
Any person owning or residing or carrying on business in premises in the vicinity of the premises for which a licence is sought, who intends to object to the grant of the licence must, in accordance with paragraph 6 Schedule I of the Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 1996, serve notice of his intention to object upon the Applicant and the Chief Clerk not less than one week before the time of the opening of the court sitting specified herein. Permissible grounds for objection are such as are specified in Articles 7(4 (a-d) of The Licensing Order namely failure to comply with the correct procedure, the fitness of the applicant, and suitability of the premises and that the premises are not of the kind specified in the application.
Any person owning or residing or carrying on business in the vicinity of the premises for which the Additional Permitted Hours Order is sought, who intends to object to the grant of the Additional Permitted Hours Order must, in accordance with paragraph 5 of Schedule 9 of the Licensing (NI) Order 1996 serve Notice of his intention to object upon the Applicant and the Chief Clerk not less than one week before the time of the opening of the court sitting specified herein. Permissible grounds for objection are such as are specified in Article 44(3) of The Licensing Order namely the business which will be conducted during the additional hours will cause undue inconvenience to persons residing in the vicinity of the premises.
Any person owning or residing or carrying on business in the vicinity of the premises for which a Children's Certificate is sought, who intends to object to the grant of the Children's Certificate must, in accordance with paragraph 5 of Schedule 9 of the Licensing (NI) Order 1996 serve Notice of his intention to object upon the Applicant and the Chief Clerk not less than one week before the time of the opening of the court sitting specified herein. Permissible grounds for objection are such as are specified in Article 59(2) of The Licensing Order namely the business which will be conducted is a suitable premises for children.
