Notice of application for a full licence to abstract (take) water

Galliford Try Construction Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from East Hants Chalk and South Hants Lambeth Group at an area defined by the following points SU 70655 05625, SU 70671 05625, SU 70671 05609 and SU 70655 05609 The application is to abstract water as follows:

• 251.28 cubic metres an hour • 6,030.72 cubic metres a day

• 1,650,909.60 cubic metres a year

• between October and June inclusive in each year.

The water will be used for construction

Further details are: The proposed abstraction lies within the East Hampshire Abstraction Management Strategy reporting area.
