What is proposed?

LICENSING ACT 2003

Take note that Bedford Fruit & Veg Limited has made an application to Bedford Borough Council for a variation to an existing premises licence under S34 Licensing Act 2003 in respect of Robins News Food & Wine, 101 High Street Bedford, MK40 1NE.

The application seeks to vary the licence as follow;

To extend the business hours to allow for Licensable activities including the sale of alcohol for consumption off the premises as follows:

Sunday to Thursday: 10:00 hours until 00:00 hours (currently permitted from 10:00 hours to 22:00 hours)
Friday and Saturday; 10:00 hours until 04:00 hours (currently permitted from 10:00 hours to 22:00 hours)

The nature of the proposed variation also includes changes to the layout of the premises and the addition of conditions to promote the prevention of crime and disorder objective Interested parties or any Responsible Authority may make a representation to the application, in writing, to the Licensing Authority, Bedford Borough Council, Borough Hall, Cauldwell Street, Bedford, MK42 9AP specifying the grounds for making the representation by 11th September 2025.

It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application and the maximum fine for which a person is liable on summary conviction for the offence is unlimited
