Notice is hereby given that Chop Africana Ltd of Unit 5 City Business Park Marshwood Close, Canterbury, Kent, CT1 1DX, has applied to Canterbury City Council for the GRANT of:
A new premises licence for the sale of alcohol. Restaurant proposed Hours for sale of alcohol (both on and off the premises) Monday - Sunday 11:00 - 22:30 and opening hours Monday – Sunday 11:00 – 23:00 for the premises Chop Africana situated at Unit 5 City Business Park Marshwood Close, Canterbury, Kent, CT1 1DX.
A register of licensing applications can be inspected at https://www.canterbury.gov.uk/licences-and-permissions/search-licensing-register or at Council Offices, 14 Rose Lane, Canterbury, Kent CT1 2UR tel. 01227 862000 by appointment with the Licensing Team between 10am and 2pm Monday to Friday.
Any person wishing to submit representations to my/our application must give notice in writing to the address shown above, giving in detail the grounds of objection by 11/09/2025.
The Council will not entertain representations where the writer requests that his identity remains anonymous. Copies of all representations will be included in the papers presented to the Licensing Panel and will therefore pass into the public domain. Representations must relate to one of the four Licensing Objectives: the prevention of crime and disorder, public safety, the prevention of public nuisance and the protection of children from harm. In the case of an application for a provisional statement, please note that representations will be restricted once a statement has been issued.
