MARRIAGES AND CIVIL PARTNERSHIPS (APPROVED

PREMISES)(AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2022

Suffolk County Council has received an application from West Suffolk Council for The Athenaeum, Angel Hill, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk IP33 1LU to be approved as a venue for the solemnisation of marriages in pursuance of Section 26 (1) (bb) of the Marriage Act 1949, and the registration of civil partnerships in pursuance of section 6 (3A) (a) of the Civil Partnership Act 2004.

Copies of the application and plans showing the proposed premises have been deposited and may be inspected free of charge at the offices of Suffolk County Council, Endeavour House, 8 Russell Road, Ipswich IP1 2BX between 9am - 5pm Monday - Thursday and 9am - 4pm Friday.

Further copies of these documents have also been deposited at The Registration Office, 7 Angel Hill, Bury St Edmunds IP33 1UZ, and may be inspected, by appointment between 9am - 4pm Monday to Friday.

Any representation or objection with respect to this application may be sent in writing to Jane Parker, Head of Registration Services, Endeavour House, 8 Russell Road, Ipswich, Suffolk IP1 2BX or to: venueslicensing@suffolk.gov.uk before 04/09/2025 stating the grounds on which it is made.
