What is proposed?

Public Notice - Licensing Act 2003

Take notice that I, John Dansie, of 2 Northdown Parade, Prices Avenue, Margate, Kent, CT9 2NR, have applied to Thanet District Council, P.O. Box 9, Cecil Street, Margate, Kent for a Premises Licence under the above Act. A copy of the application may be inspected online at https://www.thanet.gov.uk/info-pages/applications-received-under-the-2003-licensing-act/.The licensable activities will be the premises will operate as dual purpose, serving as a cafe during daytime hours, transitioning into a bar with food in afternoon/evening. During the day we intend to serve light bites, pastries and cakes. In the evening it will be tapas and alcoholic drinks, including cocktails. All alcohol will be on the premises. The establishment aims to provide a versatile and welcoming environment. The premises will be serving approximately 24 covers inside and 12 covers outside. Opening hours will be: 9am to 11pm Monday - Saturday and 9am to 10:30pm on Sunday.

Any representations in respect of the application should be made in writing to the Licensing Department, Thanet District Council, P.O. Box 9, Cecil Street Margate, Kent before the 8th September 2025. It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application and the maximum fine for which a person is liable on summary conviction for the offence is £5000.
