Notice Of Intended Application For An Approval Under The Regulations

We, The Wentworth Arms of Greenside, Mapplewell, S75 6AU hereby give notice that I, on 8th August applied to Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council for the renewal to us of an approval to use the following premises : The Wentworth Arms, Greenside, Mapplewell, S75 6AU. For civil marriages and civil partnerships conducted by a Superintendent Registrar and a registrar subject to the availability of the Registration Service Team.

Any person wishing to object to the intended application may do so by letter stating in full the grounds on which the objection is based, address to the Service Director of Customer, Information and Digital Services, Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, PO BOX 679, Barnsley, S70 9JE. Any such letter must arrive by 29th August 2025. 

The application and the plan of the built premises which identifies the room or rooms in which marriages and civil partnerships may, if approved, be solemnized may be inspected by contacting the Register office on 01226 773555, until such time as the application has been determined by the Council/or the applications has been withdrawn.
