What is proposed?

Notice of application for the grant of a Premises Licence under Section 17 of the Licensing Act 2003 

Notice is hereby given that Heron Foods Limited has applied to Newcastle City Council for the grant of a Premises Licence in respect of premises to be known as Heron Foods, 65-69 Shields Road, Byker, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE6 1EJ. 

The proposed licensable activities and their hours are the sale of alcohol off the premises Monday to Saturday 08:00 to 21:00 and Sunday 10:00 to 16:00. The opening hours of the premises will be Monday to Saturday 08:00 to 21:00 and Sunday 10:00 to 16:00. 

Anyone who wishes to make representations regarding this application must give notice in writing to:- Licensing Authority, Newcastle City Council, Public Safety and Regulation, Civic Centre, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 8QH or by email to licensing@newcastle.gov.uk 

Representations must be received by 28 August 2025. 

The Application Record and Register may be viewed during normal office hours at the above address or at https://portal.newcastle.gov.uk 

It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application. 

The maximum fine for which a person is liable on summary conviction for the offence is unlimited.
