LICENSING ACT 2003 NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A PREMISES LICENCE

Notice is hereby given that Char and Barrel Ltd has applied to Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council for the grant of a Premises Licence in respect of the premises known as: Sumac & Saffron, Unit 69, The Galleria, Comet Way, Hatfield, AL10 0XY.

The application is for the following licensable activities: Sale by retail of alcohol (on and off the premises), Late night refreshment (indoors and outdoors), Recorded music (indoors and outdoors), Provision of anything similar to live music, recorded music or performance of dance (indoors), Proposed timings: Sale of Alcohol (on/off the premises): Monday to Thursday: 10:00 - 23:00, Friday & Saturday: 10:00 - 00:59, Sunday: 10:00 - 22:00, Late Night Refreshment (indoors and outdoors): Friday & Saturday: 23:00 - 00:59, Recorded Music (indoors and outdoors): Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 23:00, Friday & Saturday: 08:00 - 00:59, Sunday: 08:00 -22:00, Provision of similar entertainment (indoors): Monday to Thursday: 10:00 - 23:59, Friday & Saturday: 10:00 - 00:59, Sunday: 10:00 - 23:00. Opening Hours: Monday to Saturday: 08:00 - 00:59, Sunday: 08:00 - 23:00.

A copy of the application may be inspected at the Licensing Department, Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council, Council Offices, The Campus, Welwyn Garden City, AL8 6AE during office hours or online at www.welhat.gov.uk. Any person wishing to make representations must do so in writing to the Licensing Authority at the above address no later than 29 July 2025.

It is an offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with this application. A person guilty of such an offence is liable on summary conviction to an unlimited fine.
