What is proposed?

Notice of Application for A Premises Licence
Application has been made by Aldi Stores Limited to the
Licensing Authority of Sunderland City Council for a
Premises Licence for the Aldi Store at Philadelphia Lane,
Houghton le Spring, DH4 4GP. The proposed licensable
activity is the sale by retail of alcohol for consumption off
the premises each day of the week between 06:00 and
00:00. The licensing register of Sunderland City Council
is kept at: Sunderland City Council, Licensing Section, City
Hall, Plater Way, Sunderland, SR1 3AA. A record of the
appiication may be inspected by appointment during the
hours Monday to Thursday 8.30 – 5.15 and Friday 8.30 –
4.45 at the Customer Services Centre, City Hall. Representations regarding the application must be made in writing
to the Council or by emailing licensing@sunderland.gov.uk
at any time up to and including 2nd July 2025.
It is an offence for anyone knowingly or recklessly to make
a false statement in connection with a Licence Application.
The maximum fine on summary conviction is Level 5.
