What is proposed?

Notice of an application under the Licensing Act 2003

Notice is hereby given that Catherine Randolph of 57 Festivals Ltd, 2nd Floor, 138-140 Southwark Street, London, SE1 0SW, in respect of the event St Albans Comedy Garden 2025, to be held on the Water Meadow, Verulamium Park for five consecutive days, applied to St Albans City and District Council for the grant of a premises licence.

The proposed application is for the provision of recorded music and anything similar to live and recorded music (stand-up comedy): Weds - Fri 18:00-22:45 & Sat - Sun 12:00-22:45 and the sale of alcohol on and off sales: Weds - Fri 18:00-22:15 & Sat - Sun 12:00-22:15. The opening dates and hours for the 2025 event are Thurs 24th - Fri 25th July 18:00-22:45, Sat 26th July 12:00-22:45 & Sun 27th July 14:45-22:45. The event will be open to ticket holders only, alcohol sales will stop at 22:15.

Any representation by an interested party or responsible authority regarding the above mentioned application must be received in writing by Licensing Section, St Albans City and District Council, Civic Centre, St Peters Street, St Albans, Herts AL1 3JE no later than 29th May 2025 stating the grounds for objection. The register of St Albans City and District Council and the record of the application may be inspected at the address of the Council, given above, Mon-Thur 8.45am-5.00pm and Fri 8.45am-4.30pm.
