Licensing Act 2003: Full Variation of a Premises Licence

Notice is hereby given that McMullen & Sons Limited has applied to East Herts District Council on 28 April 2025 to vary the premises licence for The Lord Haig, South Street, Hertford, SG14 1AZ

The proposed variations are:

• To amend the terminal hour for the sale of alcohol on Sunday to Wednesday to 00:00 and on Thursday to Saturday to 01:00

• To amend the terminal hour for other licensable activities and the closing time of the premises to 00.30 Sunday to Wednesday and to 01.30 Thursday to Saturday

• To include appropriate conditions to promote the four licensing objectives

Any person who wishes to make a representation in relation to this application must give notice in writing of their representation by 27 May 2025 stating the grounds for making said representation to: Licencing Department, East Herts District Council, Wallfields, Pegs Lane, Hertford, SG13 8EQ.

The public register where applications are available to be viewed by members of the public can be accessed online by visiting at www.eastherts.gov.uk and following the link to the public register.

The Licensing Authority must receive representations by the date given above. The Licensing Authority will have regard to any such representation in considering the application.

It is an offence, under section 158 of the Licensing Act 2003, to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in or in connection with an application for premises licence and the maximum fine on being convicted of such an offence is £5000.
