High Street, Billericay - Application For The Grant of A New Premises Licence
What is proposed?
Notice is hereby given that Greene King Brewing & Retailing Limited has applied in respect of the Crown Hotel, 2 High Street, Billericay, CM12 9BG for the grant of a new premises licence under the Licensing Act 2003 to permit the following:
To amend the hours the premises is open and permitted to undertake licensable activities on Fridays & Saturdays.
Non-Standard timings will be added to match these hours.
The new hours will now be as follows:
Opening Hours:
Friday – Saturday 07:00 – 02:30 Christmas Eve; Boxing Day; Maundy Thursday; Sunday prior to Bank Holiday Monday; New Year’s Eve 07:00 – 02:30.
Licensable Activities (Sale of Alcohol; Live & Recorded Music). Friday – Saturday 07:00 – 02:00 Christmas Eve; Boxing Day; Maundy Thursday; Sunday prior to Bank Holiday Monday; New Year’s Eve 07:00 – 02:00.
Late Night Refreshment Friday – Saturday 23:00 – 02:00 Christmas Eve; Boxing Day; Maundy Thursday; Sunday prior to Bank Holiday Monday; New Year’s Eve 23:00 – 02:00.
This is also an application to amend condition 7 of Annex 2 of the licence so that it now reads as follows: “7. A minimum of 2 SIA registered door staff will be on duty from 21.30hrs until the premises closes on Fridays and Saturdays when regulated entertainment is taking place.”
Representations to this application must be made in writing, by the end of 23 May 2025, to the Basildon District Council Licensing Authority at The Basildon Centre, St Martin’s Square, Basildon, SS14 1DL where the register of licensing applications can be inspected during office hours, by contacting licensing@basildon.gov.uk or visiting www.basildon.gov.uk
It is an offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with this application. Persons will be liable on summary conviction to an unlimited fine.
