What is proposed?

Notice of application for the grant of a Premises Licence under Section 17 of the Licensing Act 2003

Notice is hereby given that University of Birmingham Guild of Students has applied to Birmingham City Council for the grant of a Premises Licence in respect of Premises to be known as University of Birmingham Guild of Students, Union Building, Edgbaston Park Road, Birmingham, B15 2TU.

The proposed licensable activities and their hours are:

Regulated Entertainment (in the form of Live and Recorded Music) from 08:00 until 04:00 Mondays to Sundays.
Regulated Entertainment (in form of Plays, Films, Indoor Sporting Events, performance of dance and anything of a similar description) from 08:00 until 04:00 Mondays to Sundays. 
Sale by retail of Alcohol (for consumption on and off the premises) from 08:00 until 04:00 Mondays to Sundays. 
Provision of Late Night Refreshment from 23:00 until 04:00 Mondays to Sundays. 
Premises Opening Hours to be 24 Hours Mondays to Sundays.

Any representations regarding the above-mentioned application must be received in writing by General Licensing, Regulation & Enforcement, PO Box 17831, Birmingham, B2 2HJ or via email to licensing@birmingham.gov.uk no later than 22nd May 2025 stating the grounds for representation. 

The register of Birmingham City Council and the record of the application may be inspected at the address of the council, given above, during normal business hours or on the council’s website - www.birmingham.gov.uk

It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application. A person is liable to an unlimited fine on conviction should such a false statement be made.
