What is proposed?
Notice of application for the grant of a Premises Licence under Section 17 of the Licensing Act 2003
Notice is hereby given that Mitchells & Butlers Leisure Retail Limited has applied to Birmingham City Council for the grant of a Premises Licence in respect of Premises to be known as Old Contemptibles, 176 Edmund Street, Birmingham, B3 2HB. The proposed licensable activities and their hours are: Sale of alcohol (on & off premises), Regulated Entertainment films (indoors) & Indoor sporting events 10:00-00:00 Monday to Sunday; Late Night Refreshment (indoors) 23:00-00:00 Monday to Sunday; Opening Hours & Regulated Entertainment recorded music (indoors) 07:00-00:30 Monday to Sunday; additional nonstandard timings for licensable activities & opening hours as detailed in the application. Note the premises has an existing premises licence. A new premises licence has been applied for to license the currently unused first floor within the licensed premises and licensable activities & hours applied for essentially mirror the existing premises licence. Any representations regarding the abovementioned application must be received in writing by General Licensing, Regulation & Enforcement, Birmingham City Council, PO Box 17831, Birmingham, B2 2HJ, or via email to licensing@birmingham.gov.uk no later than 15 May 2025 stating the grounds for representation.
