What is proposed?

Notice of application for the grant of a Premises Licence under Section 17 of the Licensing Act 2003

Notice is hereby given that Mitchells & Butlers Leisure Retail Limited has applied to Birmingham City Council for the grant of a Premises Licence in respect of Premises to be known as Old Contemptibles, 176 Edmund Street, Birmingham, B3 2HB. The proposed licensable activities and their hours are: Sale of alcohol (on & off premises), Regulated Entertainment films (indoors) & Indoor sporting events 10:00-00:00 Monday to Sunday; Late Night Refreshment (indoors) 23:00-00:00 Monday to Sunday; Opening Hours & Regulated Entertainment recorded music (indoors) 07:00-00:30 Monday to Sunday; additional nonstandard timings for licensable activities & opening hours as detailed in the application. Note the premises has an existing premises licence. A new premises licence has been applied for to license the currently unused first floor within the licensed premises and licensable activities & hours applied for essentially mirror the existing premises licence. See application & plans submitted to council for full details. Any representations regarding the abovementioned application must be received in writing by General Licensing, Regulation & Enforcement, Birmingham City Council, PO Box 17831, Birmingham, B2 2HJ, or via email to licensing@birmingham.gov.uk no later than 15 May 2025 stating the grounds for representation. The register of Birmingham City Council and the record of the application may be inspected at the address of the council by contacting General Licensing on 0121 303 9611(option 2) and arranging an appointment to view this at the Licensing Office or on the council’s websitewww.birmingham.gov.uk/info/20081/licensing/912/licensing _act_2003_public_register

It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application. A person is liable to an unlimited fine on conviction should such a false statement be made.
