What is proposed?

Notice of application to vary a Premises Licence under Section 34 of the Licensing Act 2003 Notice is hereby given that Mitchells & Butlers Leisure Retail Limited in respect of Premises known as Star Inn, Newbury Road, Kingsclere, Newbury, RG20 4SY applied to Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council for a Variation of a Premises Licence.The proposed variation is: 1.To vary the layout of the premises in accordance with plans supplied by the applicant (including reconfiguration of kitchen area creating small extension to trade area), such variation to have effect upon the completion of the works as notified to the Licensing Authority in writing. Permitted hours and licensable activities remain as existing. 2.To remove a duplicate condition from the Premises Licence regarding irresponsible drinks promotions. Please see application and plans submitted to the Council for full details.Any representations regarding the above-mentioned application must be received in writing by, Head of Environmental Services, Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council, Civic Offices, London Road, Basingstoke, RG21 4AH or via email to licensing@basingstoke.gov.uk no later than 1 May 2025 stating the grounds for representation.The register of Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council and the record of the application may be inspected at the address of the council, given above, during normal business hours or on the council’s website www.basingstoke.gov.uk It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application.
