NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR THE TRANSFER OF A LICENCE

TAKE NOTICE that we, ZH Hospitality Ltd having its registered office at 3 Windsor Hill, Newry, Co Down, BT34 1ER intend at the Magistrates' Court sitting at The Courthouse, 23 New Street, Newry, Co Down, BT35 6JD on 12th February 2025 at 10.00am to apply for the transfer to us of a licence at present held by SSL Hospitality Ltd of 12 Cromac Place, Belfast, BT7 2JB for the premises at 1-3 Marine Parade, Warrenpoint, Co Down, BT34 3NB being premises of the following kind according to the Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 1996 namely premises specified in Article:‑
Article 5(1)(a) of the Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 1996 namely premises in which the only or principal business carried on is the business of selling intoxicating liquor by retail for consumption either on or off the premises.
A protection order authorising ZH Hospitality Ltd having its registered office at 3 Windsor Hill, Newry, Co Down, BT34 1ER to carry on business under the licence was granted on 28th August 2024 by the Magistrates' Court sitting at The Courthouse, 23 New Street, Newry, Co Down, BT35 6JD for the period of six months from the date of the order.
The following body corporate owns the business carried on under the Licence-
ZH Hospitality Ltd being a limited liability company of which the following persons are the directors- Brendan Harvey and Jonathan James Hughes both of 3 Windsor Hill, Newry, Co Down, BT34 1ER
And the following are the executive controllers - none
The owner of the premises is Mourne Redevelopments Ltd having its registered office at 1-3 Marine Parade, Warrenpoint, Co Down, BT34 3NB
The licence will be deposited with the clerk of petty sessions before or at the hearing of the application.
AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that any person owning or residing or carrying on business in the vicinity of the licensed premises who intends to object to the transfer of the Licence must in accordance with paragraph 4 of Schedule 5 to the Licensing Order of 1996 serve notice of his intention to object upon the applicant and the Clerk of Petty Sessions not less than one week before the before the time of the Court sitting specified in this Notice.
AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that the permissible grounds of objection are such as are specified in Article 22 (6) of the said Order of 1996 namely:-
(a) The procedure relating to the Application set out in Schedule 5 of the said Order of 1996 has not been complied with
(b) That the Applicant is not a fit person to hold a Licence
(c) That the business carried on the premises has been discontinued
