NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR VARIATION OF
PREMISES LICENCE

APPLICATION HAS TODAY BEEN MADE TO THE
COUNCIL FOR THE ABOVE LICENCE BY: Tesco
Stores Limited, Tesco Superstore, Sowerby Street,
Sowerby Bridge, Calderdale, HX6 3BN
The application seeks to vary: •Vary the hours
authorised by the licence of the licensable activity:
sale by retail of alcohol for consumption off the

premises to 00:00-23:59 (24 hours), Monday-
Sunday. •Add an additional licensable activity: the

provision of late-night refreshment (indoors) on the
following days: Monday-Sunday, 23:00-05:00. •Vary
the approved internal layout of the premises as per
the latest drawing deposited with the Licensing
Authority (enclosed with the application).
Interested parties and responsible authorities may
make representations regarding the application
where they believe that the proposed activities
would undermine any of the four licensing
objectives. Applications may be viewed on our
Public Register, at www.calderdale.gov.uk Any
representations must be submitted in writing to the
Licensing Unit, Town Hall, Halifax, HX1 1UJ by
21/10/2024. Any person wishing to inspect the
Licensing Register may do so at the above address
during normal office hours.
It is an offence, under Section 158 of the Licensing
Act 2003, to knowingly or recklessly make a false
statement in or in connection with this application.
Those who make a false statement may be liable on
summary conviction to a fine of any amount.
