PUBLIC NOTICE OF AN APPLICATION FOR A
PREMISES LICENCE UNDER SECTION 17 OF
THELICENSING ACT 2003

Notice is hereby given that an application was made to
Warwick District Council for a premises licence under the
above Act on 8th August 2024 and will commence its
consultation on the 9th August 2024. Applicant:
Mathanaruban Kunasekaram. Address of premises:
Shakespeare News, 26 Shakespeare Avenue, Warwick.
CV34 6JR. Proposed licensable activities: Sale of alcohol
for consumption off the premises. Proposed days and hours
of licensable activity: Everyday consumption of alcohol off
the premises 06.00 TO 23.00 hrs. The postal address of the
Licensing Authority where the register is kept and the
application may be inspected is: *Licensing Team, Warwick
District Council, Town Hall, Parade, Royal Leamington
Spa, CV32 4AT. Any person wishing to make
representations on this matter shall give notice, in writing,
stating the nature and grounds for making such
representations to The Licensing Officer at the above
address* within 28 days of the date of this notice – by the
6th September 2024. Further information is available on

It is an offence, under section 158 of the Licensing Act
2003, to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement
in or in connection with an application and the offence is
punishable on summary conviction on or after that day by
a fine of any amount.
