What is proposed?

LICENSING ACT 2003

An application has been made to Cumberland Borough Council for a new ^remises Licence under section 17 of the Act by Tesco Stores Limited, in respect of Tesco Express, 26-40 English Street Carlisle, Cumbria, CA3 8HU.

The proposed licensable activities to be carried out from the premises are: The provision of late-night refreshment (indoors) on the following days: Monday-Sunday, 23:00-00:00.

The sale by retail of alcohol for consumption off the premises on the following days: Monday-Sunday, 06:00-00:00. The licensing register and a record of the application may be inspected at the offices of Cumberland Council, Allerdale House, New Bridge Road, Workington, CA14 3YJ (https://www.cumberland.gov.uk/) between 0900-1700 Monday to Friday except public holidays.

Any representation by a responsible authority or a person likely to be affected by the grant of the application must be made in writing to the council by 20/08/2024.

It is an offence, under Section 158 of the Licensing Act 2003, to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in or in connection with this application. Those who make a false statement may be liable on summary conviction to a fine of any amount.
