What is proposed?
Notice of application to vary a Premises Licence
under Section 34 of the Licensing Act 2003
Notice is hereby given that Mitchells & Butlers Leisure
Retail Limited in respect of Premises known as Toby
Carvery - Sutton Park, Sutton Park, Sutton Coldfield,
Birmingham, B74 2YT (to be renamed “Browns Bar and
Brasserie”) applied to Birmingham City Council for a
Variation of a Premises Licence. The proposed variation is
to approve alterations to the premises as part of the
conversion to a Browns Brasserie and Bar operation; to add
conditions to the premises licence; to extend the hours for
the performance of dance, live music and sale of alcohol
throughout the premises to 0900 to midnight Sundays to
Wednesdays and 0900 to 0100 the following morning
Thursdays to Saturdays; to extend the provision of late
night refreshment throughout the premises to 2300 to
midnight Sundays to Wednesdays and 2300 to 0100 the
following morning Thursdays to Saturdays; the hours for
recorded music and opening hours to remain as existing.
Any representations regarding the above-mentioned
application must be received in writing by Birmingham City
Council, General Licensing Regulation & Enforcement, P.O.
Box 17831, Birmingham, B2 2HJ or by email sent to
licensing@birmingham.gov.uk no later than 12th April 2024
stating the grounds for representation. The register of
Birmingham City Council and the record of the application
may be inspected at the address of the council, given
above, during normal business hours or on the council’s
website – www.birmingham.gov.uk
It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false
statement in connection with an application. A person is
liable to an unlimited fine on conviction should such a false
statement be made.
