What is proposed?
NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY A
PREMISES LICENCE UNDER THE GAMBLING
ACT 2005
Notice is hereby given that Merkur Casino Entertainment
UK Limited of the following address: Second Floor, Matrix
House, North Fourth Street, Milton Keynes, MK9 1NJ is
applying under Section 187 of the Gambling Act 2005 to
vary a Converted Casino Premises Licence issued under
that Act. The application relates to the following premises:
2-6 Rutland Place, Edinburgh, EH1 2AD. The application
is to vary the licence as follows: To relocate the licence
from its existing premises to the premises stated below;
Merkur Casino, 193 Leith Walk, Edinburgh, EH6 8NX. To
update the licence with the plan provided in support of this
application. Following grant of the application, the licence
will remain dormant, will not be traded and the public not
permitted access until such time as a further variation to the
premises licence is completed and approved (See
application for further details). The application has been
made to: Licensing Board, The City of Edinburgh Council,
Waverley Court, 4 East Market Street, Edinburgh, EH8

Information about the application is available from the
Licensing Authority, including the arrangements for
viewing the details of the application. Any of the following
persons may make representations in writing to the
Licensing Authority about the application: A person who
lives sufficiently close to the premises to be likely to be
affected by the authorised activities. A person who has
business interests that might be affected by the authorised
activities. A person who represents someone in any of the
above two categories. Any representations must be made
by the following date: 21st February 2024
It is an offence under Section 342 of the Gambling Act
2005 if a person, without reasonable excuse, gives to a
Licensing Authority for a purpose connected with the
Act, information which is false or misleading.
