High Street, Esher, Surrey - Proposed Changes To Taxi And Private Hire Licence Fees For 2024/2025

Proposed changes to taxi and private hire licence fees for 2024/2025.
Notice is hereby given that Elmbridge Borough Council intends to vary the maximum fees chargeable for the grant or renewal of a taxi vehicle licence, a private hire (PH) vehicle licence, and a private hire operator’s licence in accordance with section 70 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976. Under section 53 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976, they intend to also vary the fees charged for the grant of a taxi and/ or private hire driver licence.

A copy of this notice will be displayed for public inspection in reception, Elmbridge Borough Council, The Civic Centre, High Street, Esher, Surrey, KT10 9SD and on our website at elmbridge.gov.uk/licensing.
Any person wishing to object to the above fees may do so in writing using;

• by post to Licensing Team, Elmbridge Borough Council, Civic Centre, High Street, Esher, KT10 9SD.
We must receive any objections no later than midnight on 5 February 2024.
Any objections made will be in the public domain and may be published by the Council.
If we receive no objections within the 28-day notice period or if all objections made are withdrawn the new fee charges will apply from 1 April 2024.
Any objections will be given due consideration by the Council and the proposed fees with or without modifcation will apply from 1 April 2024.
