What is proposed?

Licensing Act 2003: Application for
New Premises Licence
Notice is hereby given that BM
Management Ltd has applied in respect of
the Boardmasters Festival, Trebelsue Farm,
Newquay TR8 4AN for the grant of a new
premises licence under the Licensing Act
2003 to permit the following: This is an
application for a time limited premises
licence for the Boardmasters Festival, valid
until 31st December 2026. There will be one
event per year lasting a maximum of 5 show
days, with capacities as follows; 2024 –
58,000 capacity - 53,000 tickets, plus 5,000
staff/performers and non-ticket holders per
day. 2025 – 65,000 capacity - 59,150 tickets,
plus 5,850 staff/performers and non-ticket
holders per day. 2026 – 66,000 capacity -
60,000 tickets, plus 6,000 staff/performers
and non-ticket holders per day. To permit
plays, films, indoor sporting events, live
music, recorded music, performances of
dance, entertainment similar to
live/recorded music and dance as follows;
Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00h until
04:00h the following morning. To permit the
sale of alcohol (for consumption on the
premises only) to be as follows; Wednesday
and Thursday from 10:00h until 04:00h the
following morning and Friday, Saturday and
Sunday from 09:30h until 04:00h the
following morning. To permit late night
refreshment Wednesday to Sunday from
23:00h until 05:00h the following morning.
The site will be open to the public from
Wednesday at midnight and close at 14:00h
on Monday. The main arena opening times
will be Wednesday to Sunday from 09:00h
until 04:00h the following morning. A full
copy of the application, proposed operating
schedule of conditions and site plan is
available to view via Cornwall Council
Licensing Department. A responsible
authority or other person wishing to make
representations to this application may do
so by writing to the Licensing Team,
Cornwall Council, PO Box 676,
Threemilestone, Truro TR1 9EQ or email
licensing@cornwall.gov.uk to be received by
the end of 22nd December 2023. A record
of the application can be viewed at the
Licensing Authority’s address Monday to
Friday (except Bank Holidays) by prior
