Charlestown Road - Application for a Premises Licence
What is proposed?
Notice of application to vary a
Premises Licence under Section 34
of the Licensing Act 2003
Notice is hereby given that St Austell
Brewery Company Ltd in respect of
Premises known as Pier House Hotel,
Charlestown Road, Charlestown, Saint
Austell, PL25 3NJ applied to Cornwall
Council for a Variation of a Premises
Licence. The proposed variation is to
approve internal and external alterations at
the premises, to include a full refurbishment
of the hotel and bedrooms to also include
minibars, such alterations to have effect
upon the completion of the works as
notified to the Licensing Authority in
writing. Also, to remove condition 3 under
Public Safety to be replaced with a Fire Risk
Assessment condition as detailed in the
application. There are no changes to the
existing licensable activities and hours. Any
representations regarding the abovementioned
application must be received in
writing by email to
licensing@cornwall.gov.uk or by post to The
Licensing Team, Cornwall Council, Chy
Trevail, Beacon Technology Park, Bodmin,
PL31 2FR no later than 20th December
2023 stating the grounds for representation.
The register of Cornwall Council and the
record of the application may be inspected
at the address of the council, given above,
during normal business hours or on the
council’s website – www.cornwall.gov.uk
It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to
make a false statement in connection with
an application. A person is liable to an
unlimited fine on conviction should such a
false statement be made.
