PUBLIC NOTICE OF AN APPLICATION FOR A
PREMISES LICENCE UNDER SECTION 17 OF
THE LICENSING ACT 2003
Notice is hereby given that an application was made to the
Arun District Council for a premises licence under the
above Act on 16th November 2023 and will commence its
consultation on the 17th November 2023. Applicant:
Mehdig Limited. Address of premises: Empire Lounge, 78
Barnham Road, Barnham, PO22 0ES. Proposed licensable
activities: Sale of alcohol for consumption on & off the
premises. Proposed days and hours of licensable activity:
Sale/supply alcohol for consumption on/off the premises
Sun & Bank Hols on a Mon: 08.00 until 18.00 hrs.
Sale/supply alcohol for consumption on/off the premises
Monday to Wednesday: 08.00 until 21.00 hrs. Sale/supply
alcohol for consumption on/off the premises Thurs to
Saturday: 08.00 until 22.30 hrs. The postal address of the
Licensing Authority where the register is kept and the
application may be inspected is: * The Licensing Team,
Environmental Health Dept, Arun District Council, Arun
Civic Centre, Matravers Road, Littlehampton, BN17 5LF.
Any person wishing to make representations on this matter
shall give notice, in writing, stating the nature and grounds
for making such representations to The Licensing Officer
at the above address* or by sending an email to
licensing@arun.gov.uk within 28 days of the date of this
notice – by the 14th December 2023. Further information

the links. It is an offence, under section 158 of the Licensing
Act 2003, to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement
in or in connection With an application and the offence is
punishable on summary conviction on or after that day by
a fine of any amount.
