Fairfield Street - Application for a Variation to the Premises Licence
What is proposed?
Notice is hereby given that WH Smith Travel Holdings Limited has applied in respect of WH Smith, Unit 4, Piccadilly Train Station, Fairfield Street, Manchester, M1 2PB for a variation to the premises licence under the Licensing Act 2003 to allow for: To vary the start time for the sale of alcohol on each day of the week to 0600 (currently 0800). T
o vary condition 28 of annex 2 of the licence so that it reads as follows: “Outside of the hours authorised for the sale of alcohol and whilst the premises are open to the public, the licence holder shall ensure that the main alcohol display (excluding any ambient displays of alcohol) within the premises (including alcohol behind the counter) is secured in a locked store room or behind locked grilles, locked screens, locked cabinet doors or roller blinds so as to prevent access to the alcohol by customers.” All other hours, activities and conditions currently permitted by the premises are to remain unchanged by this application.
Representations to this application must be made in writing, by the end of 21 July 2023, to the Manchester Licensing Unit at Level 1, Town Hall Extension, Manchester M2 5DB where the register of licensing applications can be inspected between 9am – 5pm and/or by contacting premises.licensing@manchester.gov.uk
It is an offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with this application. Persons will be liable on summary conviction to an unlimited fine.
