What is proposed?

Notice of application to vary a Premises
Licence under Section 34 of the Licensing Act

Notice is hereby given that we James Hall &
Company Ltd have applied to Scarborough
Borough Council to vary the Premises Licence in
respect of premises known as SPAR Store,
Stakesby Garage, Castle Road, Whitby, North
Yorkshire, YO21 3LG. The proposed variation is: To
update the store Layout Plan due to the following
changes: Extension to top right of building to allow
for incorporation of butchers offering, all new
fixtures and fittings, Off Licence still in same place
(walk in beer chiller to back of store) larger serve
over deli offering. All back areas as per current
layout. Any representations regarding the above
mentioned application must be received in writing
by Scarborough Licensing Services, Town Hall, St
Nicholas Street, Scarborough, YO11 2HG or via
email at no
later than 1st February 2023 stating the grounds for
the representation. The register and the record of
this application may be inspected at the
Scarborough Borough Council office at the address
given above during normal business hours, or on
the council’s website -
licensingregister. It is an offence under Section 158
of the Licensing Act 2003 knowingly or recklessly to
make a false statement in connection with an
application. A person is liable to an unlimited fine on
conviction should such a false statement be made.
