Mile Roundabout Pocklington - Traffic Notice

What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(THE MILE ROUNDABOUT, POCKLINGTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any
vehicle to proceed along The Mile Roundabout, Pocklington
between 19.00 hours and 24.00 hours Monday to Friday.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
carriageway maintenance works, to be carried out and
completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be
completed within five days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is
via The Mile, Meltonby Road, Meltonby Lane, Main Street,
Feoffee Lane, Fangfoss Road, Yapham Road and Garths End.
The road will be open at all times to pedestrians and for
vehicular access to properties directly affected by the
closure and for emergency services.
The Order will commence on 13 March 2023 and
continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or
until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been
completed, whichever is the earlier.
