Essex - Temporary Road Closures due to Works

(Ashen Road, Ridgewell)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ashen Road, Ridgewell in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 70m northeast of its junction with Tilbury Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th December 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WGGDVL2RSB – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cabling and splicing works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Ashen Road, Ridgewell Road, The Street, Foxes Road, Airfield Road, Tilbury Road, Ashen Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 20th November 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(New Street, Halstead Urban)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of New Street, Halstead Urban in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Trinity Street to its junction with Mount Pleasant a distance of approximately 290m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th December 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2390946 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Trinity Street, Mount Hill, Trinity Road, Mount Pleasant and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 20th November 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Prayors Hill, Sible Hedingham)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Prayors Hill, Sible Hedingham in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Rectory Road to its junction with Wethersfield Road a distance of approximately 215m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th November 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2388696 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Wethersfield Road, Hedingham Road, Hudson Hill, B1053, A131, A1017, Rectory Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 6th November 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
