What is happening?

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 401507 OLD HILL (AVENING PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 401507 Old Hill from its junction with Powis Lane to its junction with Hampton Hill for a distance of approximately 116 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for gas mains replacement works.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE VARIOUS ROADS (CIRENCESTER TOWN) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of roads as described in the schedule below.

The reason for the said closure is for carriageway works.
There will be no waiting permitted throughout the duration of the works.
The said road is expected to be closed from 17th November 2025 to 21st November 2025 or until the works have been completed. However, if the works are not completed by this date the Order can remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION VARIOUS ROADS (BIBURY PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily restrict part of the lengths of road as described in the schedule below.

The reason for the restriction is for safety reasons due to emergency sewer mains replacement works.
There will be no waiting, stopping, or loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.
The road was originally restricted by Notice which came into force on the 24th October 2025 and could remain in force for up to 21 days. It was known at that point that the works could not be completed during the 21 days and it would be necessary to make an Order which would come into force at the end of the 21 day period. The Order has now been made and can authorise closure of the road for up to 18 months from the date of the original Notice, or until the works have been completed whichever is sooner.

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

(PUBLIC FOOTPATH NDM 3 (PART)) (PARISH OF DIDMARTON) DIVERSION ORDER 2025
On the 30th October 2025 the Gloucestershire County Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and Section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert a length of public footpath as shown on the Order Plan. A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order Plan may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Gloucestershire County Council, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester, GL1 2TG, and Cotswold District Council, Council Offices, Trinity Road, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, GL7 1PX. Copies of the Order and Order Plan may be obtained free of charge by emailing prow@gloucestershire.gov.uk
(please quote reference NDM/3/KM).
The Order comes into force on the 27th November 2025 but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provisions contained in it, within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (HA1980), as amended; and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA1981) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, they may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to HA1980 as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7) WCA1981, within six weeks from 13th November 2025, apply to the High Court.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C149 FIELDS ROAD (CHEDWORTH PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C149 Fields Road from its junction with the A429 to outside the property known as ‘Gallipot Cottage’ for a distance of approximately 1167 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for Openreach cabling works.
The said road is expected to be closed each day between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs from 1st December 2025 until 4th December 2025 only or until the said works have been completed.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400907 Road from All Saints Church to Cutham Lane from its junction with Cutham Lane to its junction with the A435 for a distance of approximately 874 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for fibre installation works.
The said road is expected to be closed from 1st December 2025 until 15th December 2025 only or until the said works have been completed.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C169 High Street from its junction with Church Street to its junction with 3/174 County Boundary to Meysey Hampton road a distance of approximately 358 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for drainage works.
The said road is expected to be closed from 24th November 2025 to 26th November 2025 or until the works have been completed. However, if the works are not completed by this date the Order can remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.
