What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14
CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL
FOOTPATH NO. 640 & 191, BINGLEY, WILSDEN
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council is satisfied pedestrians on or near Footpath No. 640 & 191, Bingley, Wilsden should be restricted or prohibited because of the likelihood of danger to the public intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Footpath No. 640 & 191 Bingley, Wilsden, as follows:
Footpath No. 640, Bingley from its junction with Derwent Avenue to its junction with Footpath No. 191, Bingley.
Footpath No. 191, Bingley from its junction with Lane Side to its junction with Wellington Road.
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to pedestrians connected with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road.
Alternative routes for pedestrian traffic affected by the proposed Order will be available, as follows:
Footpath No. 640, Bingley via Derwent Avenue, Crooke Lane, Lane Side and vice versa.
Footpath No. 191, Bingley via Lane Side, Crooke Lane, Farndale Road, Wellington Road and vice versa.
The proposed Order will come into effect at 08:00 hours on the 25th of November 2025 and remain in force until 23:00 hours on the 15th of December 2025 (although the closure can remain in force for up to six months if necessary).
