What is happening?

Elm Road (D1265) Redhill Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 12 November 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Elm Road (D1265) Redhill which extends from its junction with Fengates Road (D1265) to its junction with Elm Road Access 1-57 Waterslade (X1265).
Alternative Route – Elm Road, Ranelagh Road, A25 Hatchlands Road, Fensgate Road or the same route in reverse. The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out pole installation works which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 26 November 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency vehicles, residents within the closure, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Coopers Hill Road (C67) Nutfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 7 November 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Coopers Hill Road (C67) Nutfield as extends from its junction with Kings Cross Lane (D385) to the access for the property known as “Colgates Barn”.
Alternative route – Coopers Hill Road, Moats Lane, Crab Hill Lane, Kings Cross Lane, Bower Hill, Sandy Lane, Mid Street, A25 (High Street) and Coopers Hill Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Amey Consulting South East Anglia to facilitate a railway bridge inspection and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 26 November 2025 for 1 night between the hours of 10.00pm and 6.00am. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Rockshaw Road (D1166) Merstham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 7 November 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Rockshaw Road (D1166) Merstham as extends from its junction with London Road North (A23) to its junction with Ashcombe Road (D1166); and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council D1166 Rockshaw Road and D1166 Ashcombe Road, Merstham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” insofar as it relates to the length of road in (a).
Alternative route – A23 (London Road North), B2031 (Shepherds Hill, Alderstead Lane, Dean Lane and Rook Lane), Hilltop Lane and Rockshaw Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Network Rail to facilitate bridge works and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 27 November 2025 for 1 day between the hours of 7.00am and 5.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Dorking Road (B2450) Leatherhead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Dorking Road (B2450) Leatherhead as extends from its junction with Givons Grove Roundabout (A24/A246) to a point 160 metres north of this junction.
Alternative route – A24 (By-Pass Road), B2122 (Epsom Road and The Crescent), B2033 (Church Street) and B2450 (Dorking Road), or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable Barr Engineering Services Limited to facilitate new pole installation and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 10 December 2025 for 1 day between the hours of 10.00am and 4.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, buses, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Bletchingley Road (C69) Merstham Temporary Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Unloading Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting, loading, and unloading at any time, by vehicles in that length of the south eastbound carriageway of Bletchingley Road (C69) Merstham as extends from its junction with (C67) Nutfield Road to a point in line with the common boundary between No.10 Bletchingley Road and No.2 Albury Road. This Temporary Order is required to facilitate telecom pole replacement works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 10 December 2025. This temporary restriction will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs. Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).
Godstone Road (C84) Oxted Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Godstone Road (C84) Oxted. Alternative Route: High Street, and (A25) Godstone Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate sewer pipe repair works for, or on behalf of Cappagh Browne Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 12 days, between the hours of 9am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 08 December 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1) Public Footpath 119 (Godstone)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 6 November Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along Public Footpath 119 (Godstone) from grid ref: 535032 152492 to grid ref: 534781 152740.
The Order is necessary in the interest of public safety due to works being undertaken on or near the highway.
The closure will be in operation for a period of six months from 10 November 2025 or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.
The alternative route for traffic from grid ref: 535032 152492 will be to head south on the B2235 for 313 metres, then continue south on the A25 for 392 metres before following the A25 south west for 119 metres to Public Footpath 122 (Godstone). Then head north west for 903 metres on Public Footpath 122 (Godstone) and Public Footpath 122 (Bletchingley), continue North on North Park Lane for 65 metres.
Then follow Public Footpath 121 (Bletchingley) and Public Footpath 121 (Godstone) for 633 metres, then continue East for 82 metres to grid ref: 534781 152740.
The alternative route for traffic from grid ref: 534781 152740 will be the reverse of the route described above.
“The Surrey County Council Public Footpath 119 (Godstone) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” was made by the County Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
