LONDON BOROUGH OF BROMLEY
The Bromley (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 2003
(Amendment No. 245) Order 2025.
The Bromley (Designated Parking Places) (Car Clubs and Taxi) Order 2004
(Amendment No. 100) Order 2025.
(Various Locations)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and all other enabling powers.
The effect of the Orders would be to:-
(a) Convert existing Pay-By-Phone Bay on High Street, southwest side to an Ambulance Bay.
(b) Convert and relocate an existing Car Club Bay on High Street southwest side to a Pay-By-Phone Bay outside Nos. 33-39 Title House.
(c) Introduce a Loading Bay and a Car Club Bay on South Street, south side between its junctions with Tweedy Road and Court Street.
(d) Remove the Single Yellow Line and a stretch of the Double Yellow Line on South Street between its junctions with Tweedy Road and Court Street
(e) Introduce a Taxi Bay on High Street Beckenham, west side.
(f) Remove the Car Club Bay outside No.46 Kendall Road and replace with Permit Holders Parking Bay.
(g) Convert the Permit Holder Bays outside Nos.136 Burnt Ash Lane to Car Club Only Bay.
Details of prohibitions and exemptions for certain vehicles and persons are contained in the original Orders.
A copy of the proposed orders, of the plans of the schemes and of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be made available by emailing TrafficManagementOrders@bromley.gov.uk during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays.
ANY person wishing to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Director of Environment and Public Protection, Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, BR1 3UH, quoting reference ADE(TP)/RP/T100/785/790/792/808 not later than 3rd December 2025.
Persons objecting to the proposed orders should be aware that under the provisions of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any comments received in response to this Notice may be open to public inspection.
SCHEDULE 1:-
WAITING RESTRICTION
SOUTH STREET, the south side:
(1) Remove the single yellow line from a point 18 metres west from its junction with Tweedy Road to a point 16 metres in a south-westerly direction.
(2) Remove the double yellow line from a point 34 metres southwest from its junction with Tweedy Road to a point 2 metres in a south-westerly direction.
SCHEDULE 2:-
PARKING PLACES
SOUTH STREET, the south side:
(1) Introduce a loading bay from a point 18 metres southwest from its junction with Tweedy Road to a point 12 metres in a southerly direction Monday–Sunday, 8am–8pm, Max stay 30 mins, No Return Within 1 hour.
(2) Introduce a 24-hour Car Club Bay from a point 30 metres southwest from its junction with Tweedy Road to a point 6 metres in a south-westerly direction At Any Time
HIGH STREET BECKENHAM, west side:
(1) Introduce a taxi bay from the party wall of No. 42a and 44 to a point 11 metres northwards – No Stopping, except Taxi.
(2) Convert an existing Pay-By-Phone Bay from a point 21.1 metres west from its junction with Westmoreland Road to a point 7.5 metres west to an Ambulance Bay.
(3) Convert and relocate the existing Car Club Bay from a point 40.2 metres west of the extended western building line of No.19–23 for 6 metre westwards to a Pay-By-Phone Bay outside No. 33–39 Title House.
KENDALL ROAD, westside:
Remove the existing car club bay outside No.46 Kendall Road and replace by a permit Holders Parking Bay
BURNT ASH LANE, northside:
Convert the Permit Holder Bays outside No. 136 and 136a to Car Club Only Bays.
