Bonnyton Road, Newtyle - Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting
What is happening?

TRAFFIC ORDERS
On 10 November 2025, Angus Council made The Angus Council (U339 Bonnyton Road, Newtyle)(Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting)(No. 2) Order 2025 under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, so that public utility works may be undertaken.
The Order will come into force on 17 November 2025 from which date it is anticipated that the work will last for a period of 10 days. However, the maximum duration in terms of the Act is 18 months. The effect of the Order
is to prohibit the driving and waiting of vehicles on Bonnyton Road (C6 – B954), Newtyle from its junction with the Muirhead to Alyth to Glenisla road (B954) north-eastwards for a distance of 1.8 kilometres or thereby. Access for pedestrians and emergency vehicles will be maintained. Access for vehicles will be permitted at set times advertised on a local notice board. The alternative route for vehicles is via the Muirhead to Alyth road (B954), Tealing to Auchterhouse road (C6) and Bonnyton Road (C6 – B954). The reverse
