Sandwell Area - Multiple Temporary Road Closures
What is happening?
SANDWELL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL
The Borough Council of Sandwell (Regis Heath Road, Rowley Regis)
(Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2025 intends to temporarily prohibit
pedestrians from proceeding along the footpath between property Nos. 65
& 98 Regis Heath Road. Access to any affected frontages will be maintained,
but only when safety permits. A pedestrian diversion route will be signed via Regis Heath Road. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is
expected to be completed by 12/12/2025 effective from 24/11/2025 (24hr).
Purpose – to facilitate access to replace 70 metres of iron gas main by Cadent Gas Ltd. For more information please contact Jon Cunninghan of Cadent Gas Ltd on 07500 072214.
The Borough Council of Sandwell (Hudson Road, Tipton) (Temporary
Road Closure) Order 2025 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from
proceeding along Hudson Road, which will be closed from the gable end of
property No.25 to the dividing line of property Nos. 29 & 31. Access to any
affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. Traffic
will be diverted via Denbigh Road. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to commence and be completed by 25/11/2025
(9:30am - 3:30pm). Purpose – to facilitate access for telecommunication
works by MJ Quinn on behalf of Openreach.
The Borough Council of Sandwell (Market Place, Wednesbury)
(Temporary Cycle Lane Closure) Order 2025 intends to temporarily prohibit
cycles from proceeding along Market Place, which will be closed from north
of its junction with The Shambles for approximately 20 metres. Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits.
A cycle diversion route will not be signed. The maximum duration is 18 but the work is expected to be completed by 28/11/2025 effective from 25/11/2025 (24hrs). Purpose – to facilitate access for maintenance works

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Dudley Port, Tipton) (Temporary Cycle
Lane Closure) Order 2025 intends to temporarily prohibit cycles from
proceeding along Dudley Port, which will be closed from west of its junction
with Johns Lane to the western boundary of the Royal Oak Pub. Access to any
affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. A cycle
diversion route will not be signed. The maximum duration is 18 months,
but the work is expected to be completed by 03/12/2025 effective from
27/11/2025 (24hrs). Purpose – to facilitate access for connection works by
