What is happening?

(KIRKCUDBRIGHT CHRISTMAS LANTERN PARADE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2025

The Council has made an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to close St Cuthbert Street, St Mary Street, High Street, Castle Street from 1700 to 1745 on 23/11/25. The closures are necessary to facilitate the Kirkcudbright Christmas Lantern Parade. No alt route available; drivers should expect minor delays for the duration of the parade

THE DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY COUNCIL (PALNACKIE) (VARIOUS SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council has made the above named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Details may be inspected between 13/11/2025 and 31/12/2025 online at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk or by arrangement (Tel – 030 33 33 3000). Any person wishing to challenge the validity of the Order on the grounds that it is not within the Statutory powers set out in the Act or relevant regulations, or that any requirement of the Act or relevant regulations has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make an application for that purpose to the Court of Session.

THE DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY COUNCIL (DISABLED PERSONS’ PARKING PLACES) (STEWARTRY) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council propose to make this Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The general effect of the Order will be to provide new Disabled Persons’ Parking Places and consolidate existing Disabled Persons’ Parking Places Orders at various locations within the Stewartry area of Dumfries and Galloway as detailed in the schedule to the Order. Full details of the draft Order may be inspected between 13/11/2025 and 04/12/2025 online at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk or by arrangement (Tel – 030 33 33 3000). Objectors must state their reasons in writing to Assistant Director Transport and Infrastructure, Economy and Infrastructure, Dumfries and Galloway Council, Militia House, English Street, Dumfries, DG1 2HR, to be received by 4 December 2025.

THE DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY COUNCIL (SPRINGHOLM) (TEMPORARY 20MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to impose a temporary 20mph speed limit on various roads within Springholm from 00.00hrs on 28/11/25 until 23.59hrs on 28/05/27, effective only when identified by appropriate signs. The temporary speed limits are necessary to alleviate the likelihood of danger to the public caused by the potential conflict and collision between vehicles, pedal cycles and pedestrians on the roads stated by traffic travelling at speeds in excess of 20 miles per hour.
