Suffolk, Multiple Road Closures Due To Various Works
What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: Section 14 - Temporary Closure Of Part Of The A12 Main Road, Darsham
Suffolk County Council Intends to make an order closing the A12 Main Road, Darsham from 30 metres north eastbound and 30 metres south westbound of the railway track to facilitate level crossing testing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be: the B1387, the B1122, Yoxford Road, the A12 and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will operate from 10:00pm on 22/11/2025 – 6:00am on 23/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The C756 Court Street, Nayland With Wissington
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C756 Court Street, Nayland with Wissington from no. 20 to no. 17 to facilitate overhead cabling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be: Mill Street, the B1087, the A134, Horkesley Road, Curt Street and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 13/11/2025 from 8:00am – 6:00pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The U8704 Woodhall Road, Sudbury
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U8704 Woodhall Road, Sudbury from no. 10 to no. 22 to facilitate gas works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be: Tudor Road, Clarence Road, Stanley Road, York Road, the A131 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/11/2025 - 23/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Temporary Closure Of Part Of The A154 Beach Station Road, Felixstowe
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the A154 Beach Station Road, Felixstowe from the rail crossing for 20 metres westbound and 20 metres eastbound to facilitate access and egress to a road rail vehicle. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be: Walton Avenue, the A154 Port of Felixstowe Road, the A14 Candlet Road, the A154 Garrison Lane, the A154 Langer Road, the A154 Beach Station Road, the A154 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 9:30pm on 22/11/2025 - 8:30am on 23/11/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
