Leiston, Temporary Road Closures Due To Carriageway Works
What is happening?
SIZEWELL C (Nuclear Generating Station) Order 2022/853 - Article 19
Temporary Closure Of Part Of B1122 Abbey Road (1) And Part Of Lover's Lane, Leiston
SIZEWELL C (Nuclear Generating Station) intends to make an order closing ABBEY ROAD, LEISTON for approximately 300m to the north and for approximately 150m to the south of its junction with Lover's Lane.
LOVER'S LANE will also be closed for approximately 600m from the junction with B1122 Abbey Road.
The closure is to facilitate surfacing works and road markings for new carriageway alignment. Other coordinated works may occur.
The diversion route for Abbey Road will be: A12, A1094 and B1069 and vice versa.
The diversion route for Lover's Lane will be: King George's Avenue, Cross Street, B1069 and B1122 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate between the following:
8:00pm 12/12/2025 to 5:00am 15/12/2025. 8:00pm 19/12/2025 to 5:00am 22/12/2025. Enquiries should be made to Sizewell C Information Office at: 48-50 High Street, Leiston, IP16 4EW between 9:30am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
