A63 Trunk Road - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic For Carriageway Resurfacing Works

What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14
THE A63 TRUNK ROAD (BRIGHTON STREET TO DALTRY STREET)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the A63 Trunk Road, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, to enable carriageway resurfacing, traffic loop, road marking and stud works to be carried out in safety.

The works are expected to start on Monday 17 November 2025 for 3 nights or until completed.

The effect of the Order will be, between 8am and 6am, at times during the works, to close the A1:

(i) eastbound carriageway from the entry slip road at Brighton Street to the exit slip road at Daltry Street, a distance of 900 metres;

(ii) westbound carriageway from the entry slip road at Daltry Street to the exit slip road at Brighton Street, a distance of 965 metres;

(iii) eastbound entry and exit slip roads at Brighton Street; and

(iv) eastbound entry and exit slip roads at Daltry Street.

During the closures suitably signed alternative routes will be available at all times.

Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance). The Order comes into force on 16 November 2025 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
