A612 Colwick Loop Road - Prohibited From Waiting, Loading And Unloading (Both Sides) (At All Times)

What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(A612 COLWICK LOOP ROAD, COLWICK) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025 (G25-189)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Colwick in the Borough of Gedling.

The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. A612 Colwick Loop Road, Colwick - From its junction with Road Number 1 to its junction with Victoria Road.

2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road
a. A612 Colwick Loop Road, Colwick - From its junction with Road Number 1 to its junction with Victoria Road

3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:

From 20:00 until 06:00 hours only From Monday, 24th November 2025 Until 06:00 Friday 28th November 2025 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:

A612 Colwick Loop Road > A612 Mile End Road > A612 Daleside Road East > A612 Manvers Street > A612 Southwell Road > A60 Lower Parliament Street > A60 Huntingdon Street > A60 Mansfield Road > A6211 Thackeray’s Lane > A6211 Gedling Road > B684 Mapperley Plains > A6211 Colliery Way > A612 Trent Valley Road and Vice versa

The Order will come into force on 24th November 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing works
