What is happening?

SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNCIL

(Various Roads – Summit Close Area, Kingswood) (Temporary Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has prohibited, temporarily, any vehicle waiting at any time in the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice.

This order was required for the following reason: in connection with road safety and access improvements. The order became operative from 14 November 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The restrictions however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 18 months duration.

SCHEDULE

Edward Road south side – from its junction with Orchard Road in a north easterly direction for a distance of 5m; north side – from its junction with Orchard Road in a north easterly direction for a distance of 8m

Orchard Road east side – from its junction with Orchard Road/Woodland Terrace in a northerly direction for a distance of 24m; west side – from its junction with Woodland Terrace in a north westerly direction for a distance of 42m

Summit Close west side – from its junction with Orchard Road in a northerly direction for a distance of 30m; east side – from its junction with Orchard Road in a northerly direction for a distance of 15m Woodland Terrace north side – from its junction with Orchard Road in a westerly direction for a distance of 3m.
